This handsome seahorse was shot on a dive at Blue Heron Bridge in Palm Beach County, Florida. Longsnout Seahorse (Hippocampus reidi) are known for their vibrant and varied colors, including bright yellows, oranges, reds, and purples. They often have dark spots or small rings on their body. They are more tropical and are found in the warmer waters of the western Atlantic, from North Carolina to Brazil, including the Caribbean. They are also active swimmers. Their key habitats are seagrass beds and mangroves.
